Handbuilt, Large scale model

Porsche 956/962 1:5 scale by Javan Smith.

Fabulous, large scale model of the hugely successful endurance racing Porsche 956 and later modified 962. Measuring 120 cms with a base or 95 cms approx just the model. The model can be wall mounted as per the photos if required to save space but still give an amazing visual impact. Built in very low numbers by hand in the UK.

The Porsche 962C Red/yellow Shell/Dunlop car number 17 finished 2nd to the Silk Cut Jaguar at Le Mans in 1988.
The Porsche 956 Brunmotorsport/Jagermeister #19 car raced at Le Mans in 1986 but did not finish the race. And won at Imola in 1984
The difference between the two is basically the real 962C is about 150mm longer in length due to new regs outlawing the 956, because the drivers feet were just ahead of the steering rack.
