This is a fabulous 1:8 large scale model of the Mercedes W125 One Grand Prix car.
The Mercedes W125 was introduced in the 1936 Grand Prix season and won its first race driven by Hermann Lang

The model was hand made by Javan Smith (Actually his son Brendan, a superb model maker in his own right). A 'Kirbside' model with stunning attention to detail, enteriely hand made, with full interior detail, wood rimmed three spoke steering wheel and correct dials, bonnet vents all incredibly, individually cut out by hand.
The display case has an aluminium turned style base with the original peliglass cover etched with Mercedes - Benz W125 on the back and a plaque on the base detailing the model.
This is a truly stunning model almost 2 foot in length including the case. A wonderful addition to any automobilia collection or as a stand alone centre piece. The model has had one previous owner from new.
Model length approx 45cm and the display case 60cm
Limited Edition Number 49/100. Very rarely come up for sale due to the rarity and fabulous quality.

Please note as the cover is original it has slight 'clouding' in places on the glues edges as most of these models cases do over time. A brand new cover (without etching on the back) can be supplied for around £100.
