This is a fine 1:8 large scale model by Javan Smith, of the Maserati 250F as driven by Juan Manuel Fangio in the Italian Grand Prix
The 1957 Italian Grand Prix was held at Monza, without the banked track and was won by Stirling Moss in the Vanwall after exchanging the lead with Fangio in the Maserati.
Totally hand built by the highly regarded model maker, Javan Smith in 1999. Measuring around 2 feet in length, this pre-owned (one owner) model is very rare especially the #2 Fangio car and is in excellent condition, the model will come with a brand new made to measure perspex cover.
