Juan Fangio #1 SOLD
Javan Smith 1:8 scale Maserati 250F, 1957 #1 Juan Fangio
This fine model is a handbuilt 1:8 large scale replica of the fabulous Maserati 250F, that won the Grand Prix World Championship in 1957, driven by Juan Fangio. Famously overtaking Mike Hawthorn on the last lap to win the German Gran Prix at the Nurbergring in August 1957, Fangio won another four Grand Prix that year.
This model was made by the well known and respected maker - Javan Smith, completely hand made from scratch in the uk. It is a pre owned model which has been very well looked after and is in excellent condition.
The model sits and its original base, with grey tarmac effect base and metal edging, with plaque showing the makers name and details of the car. It has the original perspex cover with etched Maserati logo to the rear.
This is a truly stunning model almost 2 foot in length including the case and one of the best Javan Smith 250F models I have seen. The model is pre-owned having had one owner since being ordered from new around 2008. A wonderful addition to any model collection or as a stand alone centre piece.
A great opportunity to own this model of one of the all time great Grand Prix cars made by an internatonally renowned model maker.
