Ferrari Tipo 500 F2 1952 1:8 scale model

This is a fabulous 1:8 large scale model of the Ferrari Tipo 500 F2 as raced in the 1952 Formula One Grand Prix season. Driven by Alberto Ascari who won every race he finished in 1952. This model is #15 in which amongst others Ascari won the British Grand Prix

The model was hand made by Javan Smith (probably his son Brendan). A 'Kirbside' model with stunning attention to detail, enteriely hand made, with full interior detail, cord seat, turned dash, wood rimmed three spoke steering wheel and correct dials. Scudaria shields on the wings.
The display case has an aluminium turned style base with a plaque detailing the model and the limited edition number 97/100, with the original peliglass cover etched with Ferrari on the back.
This is a truly stunning model almost 2 foot in length including the case. A wonderful addition to any automobilia collection or as a stand alone centre piece.
Model length approx 45cm and the display case dimensions approx: 62 x 30 x 19cm.
