This is a completely hand made from scratch, 1:8 scale 'kerbside' model of the 1949 Ferrari 166 MM #22. Celebrating 60 years since the Ferrari 166MM won Le Mans and the Mille Miglia in 1949. #22 chassis 0008M is the only car ever to win both Le Mans and the Mille Miglia, which makes it a very special car indeed, it also who the Spa 12 hour race in the same year. With the real car being flow into London from America this summer to take part in the Hampton Court Palace Concours de Elegance in September.
With a beautifully hand crafted interior including aluminium dashboard and detailing, leather seats and bonnet straps, exceptional paint finish and fantastic attention to detail. The model sits on a black plinth, with a plaque detailing the car and maker. Covered in a perspex case and a certificate of authenticity from the maker. Measuring approx. 60 cm this is a very impressive model.

Regarded as possibly the most important Ferrari of them all as it signified Enzo Farrari's intention to sell race cars to the public. Build, race, sell, repeat!

Built by Karsten Schmidt, this is a truly stunning model almost 2 foot in length including the case. A wonderful addition to any model collection or as a stand alone centre piece.
