Javan Smith BRM P261 1:8 scale model
This is a fine 1:8 large scale model of the BRM P261 driven by Graham Hill in the 1965 Grand Prix season to 2nd place in the Drivers Championship, with 2 wins and 6 podium finishes.
A superb scratch built model unsually credited to Javan Smith but made by his son Brendan who Javan trained to become a superb master model maker in his own right . It is a highly detailed model with fabulous cockpit, engine, exhaust and suspension detailing including a striking dark red drivers seat, sitting on its original turned alluminium base with plaque detailing the model and limited edition number 49/100 (Though it is unlikley 100 were ever made) and built in the ealry 2000's.
A rare, highly desireable and interesting handbuilt model that would grace any model collection. One previous owner from new, in excellent condition. The model measures approx. 45cms and 6ocms including the base. Model comes wih the original perspex cover with BRM etched on the back.

Please note as the cover is original it has slight 'clouding' in places on the glues edges as most of these models cases do over time. A brand new cover (without etching on the back) can be supplied for around £100.
