This is a BRAND NEW 1:8 scale model of the Jaguar XKSS, in BLACK with TAN interior (photos of the blue XKSS with red interior are for illustration purposes only). Only two in black were made for Jaguar Classics to celebrate the D Type continualtion cars built in the last few years. The XKSS, made famous by Steve McQueen, is the road going version of the wonderful Jaguar D Type, which won Le Mans three years in a row from 1955 to 1957 winning many other races, making it one of the most dominant cars in Le Mans history.
This model is an exact replica, with fully opening bonnet, door and boot. Fully detailed engine and interior. The attention to detail is incredible and is an exact scale copy of the original car. With festidious research and scanning of the original car done by Amalgam in full co-operation and scrutiny with Jaguar cars. The model sits on the Amalgam leather covered display plinth with plaques detailing the car and comes with the original perspex cover and comes with a certificate from Amalgam.

This particular model was commissioned by Jaguar Cars near Coventry, UK has never been opened and remains as new. The model is now being offered for sale for the first time. The photos of the model in the wrapper are of the actual unwrapped model for sale. Only eight XKSS 1:8 models in total have been made by Amalgam, only two in black, making this a very rare model.
This is a truly stunning model meauring approx 55 cms in length and 70 cms including the case. A wonderful addition to any model collection or as a stand alone centre piece. This is the finest model of this car available anywhere in the world.
